Privacy Policy

The short version
Your TOTP secrets and codes never leave your Mac. We collect your email address for account management and may send you product updates if you opt in. Payments are processed by Stripe.
What we collect
Email address – when you request a download link or create an account. Used for account login, subscription management, and optional product updates.
Password – when you create an account. Stored as a bcrypt hash. We never store or see your plain-text password.
Payment information – processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details. We only store your Stripe customer ID to link your subscription.
What we don't collect
Your TOTP secrets, account names, generated codes, and app settings are stored locally on your Mac in ~/Library/Application Support/Augento/ and in the macOS Keychain. This data never leaves your device.
Network access
The app connects to augento.io to verify your subscription status. No TOTP secrets or codes are transmitted. The local HTTP API server binds exclusively to 127.0.0.1 (localhost) and is not accessible from other devices.
Keychain
Encryption keys, API tokens, and your authentication session are stored in the macOS Keychain, protected by your system password and Apple's security framework.
Analytics & Tracking
None. No analytics. No telemetry. No crash reports. No usage data in the app.
Third parties
Stripe – processes payments and manages subscriptions. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
SendGrid – sends transactional emails (download links). See Twilio's Privacy Policy.
Vercel – hosts the website. May collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type).
Neon – hosts our database. Stores your email, hashed password, and Stripe customer ID.
Data deletion
You can delete your account by contacting us at privacy@rapidrocket.ch. This will remove your data from our database and cancel any active subscription. Local app data can be removed using the in-app uninstall option.
